Your Public Profile URL has changed
We’ve updated the URL for your public Bugcrowd profile. This is part of ongoing upgrades to improve your experience and bring you more opportunities on the platform.
If you share or link to your profile anywhere, be sure to update it to the new URL.
Thanks for being part of the Bugcrowd community!
What’s changed
Just the URL! It has changed from: bugcrowd.com/{username} to bugcrowd.com/h/{username} Your hacker profile, submissions, reputation, and activity will remain fully intact and accessible.
What do you need to do
Initially, nothing! Bugcrowd will automatically redirect your old profile link to the new one until December 31, 2025. This means any existing links you’ve shared will still work for that period.
However, we recommend updating any places where you’ve shared your public profile link, such as:
- Bookmarks
- Social media bios
- Personal websites or portfolios
- Resumes/CV s
Making these updates when it’s convenient for you will ensure a seamless transition after the redirect period ends.
Please note that redirects will only be applicable to profiles established prior to the implementation of this change. Should a username be altered post-launch, or for new platform users, the redirect will not be necessary as the updated URL will be immediately assigned.
Why have we made this change
This URL update is a key step in a broader initiative to upgrade our platform’s infrastructure. These improvements will allow us to:
- Expand access to new customer engagements: This means more opportunities for you to participate.
- Provide a centralized hacker experience: We’re building a unified platform to make it easier for you to discover engagements, submit vulnerabilities, and earn rewards.
- Lay the groundwork for global expansion: This upgrade will allow us to expand into specialized environments and data centers worldwide, including international, multinational, and government-specific Bugcrowd instances.
Ultimately, these changes are designed to enhance your overall Bugcrowd hacker experience and provide you with even more opportunities as they become available.
