Reward Pool Management

The Reward Pool page allows Program Administrators to view and manage the funds available for rewarding researchers. It also provides tools for setting low-balance alerts and tracking reserved funds for engagements.

Reward Pool page overview

Overview

The Reward Pool page is divided into two sections:

  • Reward Pool Balance: View your available and reserved funds.
  • Reserve Activity: Track funds reserved for specific On-Demand engagements.

To navigate to the page: Program Settings → Reward Pool

Reward Pool Balance

  • Available Balance: Displays the funds available for immediate payouts to researchers. This amount excludes any funds currently reserved for On-Demand engagements.
  • Total Balance: Shows the sum of your available balance and reserved funds.
  • On Reserve: Displays the total amount of funds set aside for active or upcoming On-Demand engagements.

Low Balance Threshold

Enable this setting to be alerted when your Total balance, including available and reserved funds, is running low.

To set a Low Balance Threshold:

  1. Enter a dollar amount in the Low balance threshold field.
  2. Click Save.
  3. When your reward pool drops to or below this number, all program administrators will receive an email notification.

Note: Ensure that Low Balance notifications are enabled in your account settings.

Reserve Activity

The Reserve Activity table lists all funds currently on reserve for On-Demand engagements.

Table Columns:

  • Activity: The name of the engagement the funds are reserved for (links to the engagement).
  • Date: The date the funds were reserved.
  • Amount: The amount reserved for that engagement.
  • Status: Indicates the current engagement status.

How it works

  • Funds reserved for On-Demand engagements are not available for payouts until the engagement is completed.
  • Any unused reserved funds will return to your available balance automatically.

Best Practices

  • Monitor Your Low Balance Alerts: Set a realistic threshold to ensure you have enough funds to reward researchers promptly.
  • Review Reserve Activity Regularly: Helps you anticipate upcoming payouts and fund requirements.
  • Top Up Before Large Engagements: Ensure adequate available funds to avoid interruptions in payout processing.
